Homemade Plantable Paper

This DIY Plantable Seed Paper Project Lets You Give Back for Earth Day

In honor of Earth Day coming up on April 22, the Free People blog is celebrating Earth month, in part with this DIY plantable seed paper project. From blogger Julia, the homemade paper craft is fun and easy to do while also recycling old paper materials at the same time.

The plantable seed paper can be planted after it's used, making it doubly recycled and turning what used to be a tree back into a plant, flowers or herbs. In hers, Julia used wildflower seeds, but you could substitute for whatever seeds you like. In addition to paper materials you have lying around, you will also need a blender, cake pan or container, frame, two kitchen towels, rolling pin or glass jar, water and wire mesh.
