The Petal Bench by Je Sung Park provides an organic shape with state-of-the-art technology. Public seating’s never seen this kind of innovation: The Petal Bench looks like a flower, and each petal is a seat. During the day, the top of the Petal Bench collects solar power. At night, the bench senses the dark, closes up its petals (just like a flower), and rests for the night.
The only foreseeable problem with the Petal Bench would be if it needed to be used at night. But Je Sung Park is a smart guy, so he probably took that into consideration.
