The bench is characterized by its flower-shaped constructed that's roughly rounded and accented by a solar panel array in the middle that passively captures energy from the sun's rays. The bench will rotate quite slowly throughout the day to keep the sitter in continuous motion and thus provide different viewpoints accordingly.
'A Solar-Powered Bench That Spins Ever So Slowly' is installed at the NGV Garden for Melbourne Design Week and is crafted out of low-density polyethylene (LDPE) to prioritize an easily recyclable main form.
