EmbodyDNA is a new fitness app with a goal of creating a personalized fitness plan that's tailored using DNA.

Last year, a weight loss feature 'Snap It' could identify foods an individual should avoid by simply snapping a picture of their body. Based on the success of the algorithm, the company 'Lose It' evolved the app to introduce personal genetics in addition to basic calorie tracking.

Users will be asked to provide a saliva sample to 'Helix,' a personal genetics company that partners with 'Lose It.' After a six to eight week analysis, the results will be available through the accompanying app, informing the individual of a history of food patterns that are inhibiting their personal weight loss goals. The app can tell users what type of metabolism they have, what their fitness levels are and detect intolerances to dairy or gluten.
