Mirrored Car Sculptures

'Wreck' by Jordan Griska is a Prefect Mirrored Replica of a Mercedes S550

Brooklyn-based artist Jordan Griska has created a perfect mirrored replica of a crashed Mercedes-Benz S550.

Named 'Wreck,' the piece was created by taking a 3D model of a Mercedes-Benz S550 and digitally manipulating it to look like it has crashed. Each piece of this perfect mirrored replica was laser-cut to fit seamlessly together. The truly compelling part of the piece is that it still holds a striking resemblance to a luxury vehicle despite its distortion. By contrasting luxury with brutal destruction, Griska has portrayed a feeling that is often ignored in everyday materialism. This piece is reflective of the Millennial generation's sometimes tragic obsession with mass consumption. 'Wreck' is quite literally reflective for this demographic and brings the viewer face-to-face with our cultural insecurities.
