Imperfect Pasta Bowl Designs

The 'Appennino Interiore' Pasta Bowl by Tomás Neumann is Thoughtful

The 'Appennino Interiore' pasta bowl has been designed by Tomás Neumann as a cheese-inspired piece of dinnerware for diners to enjoy.

Designed for the Parmigiano Reggiano Design Challenge, the bowl pays homage to the Pasta Cacio c Pepe and features a small section in the middle for placing the perfect portion of pasta. The rim of the bowl is vast and expansive with a natural imperfect finish on the surface. This calls to mind the natural appearance of a Parmigiano Reggiano cheese wheel upon first being cracked open as well as the Apennine Mountains in the region of Reggio Emilia.

The 'Appennino Interiore' pasta bowl maintains a thoughtful construction achieved with a food-grade biodegradable resin/linen composite material. This is sourced from discarded linen cheesecloth actually used for production for a truly holistic approach to dinnerware.
