il Buco Vita x Commune Design Presents Ceramic Kitchenware Made in Assisi

il Buco Vita x Commune Design introduces a collaborative range of ceramic kitchen pieces made by artisans in Assisi using traditional methods. The collection includes a teapot with accompanying cups, a sugar cellar, a creamer, and three cylindrical storage canisters in graduated sizes. Each object is formed by hand from locally sourced black clay, then fired and finished with matte glazes applied in muted, earthy tones. Available colors include eggplant, turmeric, rhubarb, mushroom, olive, and earth, with surface variations resulting from the glazing process.

Manufacturing takes place in Assisi, where ceramic production remains closely tied to regional craft practices. The pieces are designed for everyday kitchen use, including tea service and dry goods storage. Forms are intentionally simple, with rounded profiles and solid construction suited to repeated handling. The collection is presented as functional kitchenware developed through a partnership between the Italian studio il Buco Vita and Los Angeles–based Commune Design.
