The Pan-gyo Residence has a very singular look. This is due in large part to being covered in HI-MACS. The first of its kind in Korea, the use of such a progressive material ensures that the house is very durable. With improved heat, scratch and UV resistance as well as impact strength andthermoplastic mouldability, the Pan-gyo Residence could very well stand the test of time--in terms of both function and look.
Designed by Office 53427, which was led by architect Kiwoong Ko, the Pan-gyo Residence's futuristic, all-white exterior contrasts nicely with a horizontal wood plank base. The look was inspired by an ocean wave and the foam is represented through the perforated squares at the top. Aside from that, it doesn't have a very organic aesthetic.
