A turbulent cruise incident is depicted in Pacific Sun by Thomas Demand.

This installation boasts a highly realistic recreation of various rooms through which chaos ensued during a turbulent storm on the Pacific Sun cruise ship. Each piece in the images is a 1:1 ratio recreation designed by the German artist Thomas Demand. With vast attention to detail, the piece plays with the viewer's perception of the artificial creations.

Showcased at Sprüth Magers Berlin London, this piece was recreated from the study of a clip of the turbulent cruise ship incident. "Demand's reconstructions seem to suggest that disorder is the only natural and permanent condition of things," says Frame Web Magazine of this artwork. With awe-inspiring construction and a message of natural order, Pacific Sun by Thomas Demand is a show of dynamic creativity.
