The Overeasy diner in Singapore serves a classic all-American menu and after eight years of service, the owner decided to undergo a massive renovation.
Known for selling typical American cuisine such as milkshakes, Texan-style barbecued ribs, fried chicken sandwiches and truffle lobster mac and cheese, the diner owner hired local studio Hui Designs to match the restaurant aesthetic to the menu. The diner now has a 60s-inspired design, with red checkered flooring, brass edged tables, powder blue booths and retro fonts on all displays. In addition to the interior design renovation, the menu underwent large change with the help of culinary director Daniel Sia, who added jalapeno crusted corn dogs, dark chocolate shortbread, Oreo milkshakes and Maine lobster tater tots.
Hui Designs' renovation of the Overeasy diner is ungraded and modern without losing touch of the establishment's traditional roots.
