Studio Plenty was Tapped to Design the Light Years Diner

The Light Years Diner is a part of the Asian Diner Chain Light Years and it takes on a new design update in Byron Bay, Australia with the help of local design practice Studio Plenty. This is done with collaborative efforts from home-grown artists and designers as well. The theme behind the new look is to replicate the visual branding across its other three spaces in the country and elevate the aesthetic.

Will Rathgeber, the founder of Studio Plenty explains the process to Dezeen, noting that "We were asked to reimagine the Byron Bay restaurant, taking cues from its sister diners but with greater restraint in composition. We were looking to achieve something refined without letting go of the relaxed culture behind the brand, with satisfying colours and patterns, and playful shapes and materials."
