While most people are content with basic or simple headstones, the design studio Smorgasbord is allowing people to create their perfect gravestone through its 'Over My Dead Body' program. Inspired after a walk through Paris' famed Père Lachaise Cemetery, this new program aims to create custom memorials that hearken back to an era of elaborate mausoleums. At the same time, the Over My Dead Body program looks to cash in on the social media era in which appearances and perception are everything.
In order to create these custom gravestones, Over My Dead Body will connect customers with the right artist or design studios. From there, both the client and the artist will work closely to conceive and eventually create a something that will immortalize their legacy.
