This curious chicken nugget promotion, on offer at a McDonald's in the greater Grand Forks area of North Dakota, is as original as it gets. On offer for the month of January, the promotion involves the price of chicken nuggets being determined by the temperature the noon before.
For example, let's assume today is Saturday and the temperature at noon on Friday was two degrees -- your nuggets will cost only $2! Recently, the nuggets were on offer for free as the noon temperature the day before was zero degrees. This promotion has led to a large number of people grabbing McDonald's nuggets for breakfast!
This nugget promotion is extremely creative and while it isn't known if the McDonald's outlet sold more or fewer nuggets than usual or made any profit out of it, they're clearly winners because this original promo is designed to set tongues wagging.
