NENMAR has completely transformed a ground-floor apartment in Battersea, London, to deliver a comprehensive interior renovation that prioritizes spatial fluidity, natural illumination, and an atmosphere of quiet sophistication. This project stands out through the studio's meticulous approach to custom craftsmanship and material curation, which together create a residence that feels both contemporary and enduring.
NENMAR optimized spatial flow in a 170-square-metre space and maximized light through strategic material choices. Simultaneously, the studio established a serene sanctuary from the bustle of the city. The living area centers around a monolithic fireplace carved from a single block of Titanium travertine — a feature that anchors the space and extends through a contemporary archway into the dining and kitchen zones. The use of a refined palette, including natural oak joinery, a striking brushed stainless-steel wall, and various travertine elements, creates a cohesive architectural language that unifies the entire home.
