Mutiny by Liam Petrie-Allbutt, an industrial designer based in Melbourne, Australia, is a light fixture that could be likened to a wooden cage. Taking into consideration its name, perhaps that is not such a far-fetched comparison. Anyone who engages in a mutiny should theoretically be thrown into a jail cell of sorts. That said, the pendant lamp was actually inspired by hand-crafted European furniture as well as the designer's former timber boat building roots and passion for the Victorian coastline.
Simple and modern, Mutiny by Liam Petrie-Allbutt provides a soft glow that is reminiscent of a paper lantern. The way the light bounces off of the wood material is warm and inviting. As written by Plus Mood, "The elegant design and attention to detail is a breath of freshness to the Australian Lighting Industry."
