Though Dubai is a desert city, the Muraba Residences on the famed Palm Jumeirah make avid references to water. The apartment building is clad with mirrored glass windows and rippled, frosted glass louvers that lend it the serene, calming qualities typically associated with water.
To be sure, the Muraba Residences are indeed surrounded by water. The artificial archipelago that building sits on is in the Persian Gulf, so the watery influence isn't entirely inappropriate. Nonetheless, there's a certainly haziness about the apartment complex, no doubt a reference to the mirages that are said to afflict those who wander the desert.
The luxury living space contains 26 condos in all, with four of those reserved as penthouses and the remaining offering panoramic balcony views of the surrounding gulf.
