American firm Square Feet Studio embarks on a quest to produce a modern seafood restaurant in Giorgia, Atlanta. The establishment — 'Watchman's Seafood & Spirits,' recently opened in the city's Krog Street Market. However, the overall homey quality of the space prompts one to think that "it [has] existed in the market for many years."
Instead of jumping to the nautical theme, Square Feet Studio uses mixed materials for the modern seafood restaurant. This does not only create a diversity of color and texture but instills an atmospheric shift, as well. While the warm wooden panels give off a romantic and welcoming ambiance, for example, the partial brick facade instills a contemporary chic character.
