Eyebrow-Raising Labels

Middle Brau Packaging Stares Right Back at You

As part of a guerrilla self-promotion campaign, Middle Brau labels were placed over pre-existing beer packaging. Created by Brent (no word on a last name) of Stir and Jordan Gray, these vibrant and eyebrow-raising graphics pay tribute to an online comic entitled Middlebrow. The comic is largely comprised of observational comedy and follows the daily trials of two Kansas City ad creatives.

Playing on the name of the comic and the close phonic proximity of the word brow and the German brau (meaning beer), it seemed only logical to create the name Middle Brau. The mascots of the brand are simply a pair of eyebrows and eyes. Each of the two labels featured are eyebrows subtly shaped to differentiate between the two. Both graphics appear on a vibrant solid background of yellow or blue.

Sure to catch more than a few eyes on liquor shelves, Middle Brau packing is loaded with endearing quirk.
