This Mediterranean-inspired restaurant in London welcomes customers with its warm palette and modern furnishings. Local design firm Sella Concept collaborated with architectural studio Wilson Holloway in the drafting of a proposal for refurbishing the building of a heritage-listed former pub.
The Mediterranean-inspired restaurant, owned by hotelier Omar Shabaan, has the main floor, as well as a space for private events in the basement. The modern establishment also makes use of a stylish cocktail bar. In addition to the strong Mediterranean influence that can be seen in both the menu and the design of the physical space, Omar's Place is informed by the owner's Egyptian roots. One can see them in the stylistic references to the sun—from the circular geometry behind the bar to the shiny hanging lamps.
