A great example of a contemporary elegant restaurant interior comes from French architecture practice Studio KO which recently completed a project for Sahbi Sahbi (a name that translates to 'soulmates' in Darija). Through the design, the firm attempted to reference "Moroccan cuisine and female culinary practices," and "to celebrate the female chefs who work there." It did so through a strategic curation of textures, tones, and materials.
Like many contemporary establishments like this, Sahbi Sahbi's new interior seeks to strike a good balance between modernity and tradition.
