Stouffer’s Meatless Lasagna is a vegetarian-friendly dish that offers a twist on a comforting meal with plant-based beef. The new product from Nestlé’s Stouffer’s brand features the plant-based beef alternative by Sweet Earth, which was acquired by Nestlé in 2017. The large, preservative-free lasagna is made with Sweet Earth Awesome Grounds, which are packed with plant-based protein, as well as other classic lasagna ingredients like real mozzarella cheese and tomato sauce with herbs.
The plant-based beef is made with pea protein and has the potential to entice both vegetarian and flexitarian consumers who are interested in exploring some of the innovative meat-free options that are available today.
The frozen lasagna is set to be available on Amazon Fresh as of Spring 2020.
