The 'Popcorn Time Virtual Video Store' is a new program that recreates the feeling of taking a trip to the local video shop. With the majority of movies now available online, video rental shops have largely become extinct. This program recreates the experience of visiting a video store through the use of virtual reality technology.

The Popcorn Time Virtual Video Store relies on a treadmill and Oculus Rift gear to recreate the feeling of visiting a local video shop. The program allows the user to relive the nostalgia of walking between the aisles and choosing the perfect video as they move on the treadmill. The Oculus Rift gloves then allow the user to virtually hold different videos and examine the film's synopsis, run time and rating. Users even have the option to view trailers or read reviews of different titles.

Although the 'Popcorn Time Virtual Video Store' is still in the early stages of testing, the technology does give users the opportunity to combine the nostalgia of visiting a video shop with the access to nearly unlimited film options.
