Women who frequently use beauty products will know that "lip rescue" cosmetics are typically associated with softening, smoothing, hydrating and nourishing properties that will provide a range of benefits. But beyond just offering a beneficial lipstick product in an aesthetically pleasing shade, Oriental Princess, Thailand’s largest cosmetic brand, recently launched Lip Rescue, which features packaging that doubles as a safety whistle.
The product was designed in response to a statistic that reports that every 20 seconds, a woman is a victim of violence in Thailand. Although effective, devices like pepper spray or tasers are difficult to conveniently carry. As an alternative, the small, purple lipstick tube and whistle can be easily slipped into clutches, pockets and if needed, discreetly carried in the palm of one's hand.
When blown, the whistle emits a sound of up to 120 decibels, which can be heard even about 100 meters away.
