Skulls Made of 200,000 Cigarette Packs

Killer Art by Chris Jordan

Chris Jordan has done it again by creating art with a message... using a medium that is part of the message? Yeah, I don't know how to really describe the use of cigarette packaging as a medium to create art. All I know is that it's uber cool.

The piece was inspired by the master Van Gogh's Skull with a Burning Cigarette. The painting is 98 inches by 72 inches.

Implications - One of the best ways a PSA or non-profit company can get a message about the dangers of a certain activity across is by investing in avant-garde advertising that shows the actual human loss of the behavior. By eschewing the newfound PSA movement of featuring humor in a humorless situation, the company stands a good chance of embedding fear in the minds of consumers.
