'Suppertime Stories' KFC Chicken Buckets Offer Dinner & Entertainment

For a limited time, KFC South Africa is launching Suppertime Stories KFC chicken buckets that provide more than just a meal.

The buckets are designed in such a way so that a mobile phone can be dropped into the mouth of the container to create a light source. Cut-outs on the side of the bucket project images onto the walls of one's home, and via an app, diners are able to enjoy their meal with traditional African folk stories like 'Why Hippo Doesn’t Eat Fish' and 'Why Mosquito Buzzes in People’s Ears.'

KFC has created a number of inventive chicken buckets over the years, including ones that can record special messages and print photos. Across the fast food industry, many popular restaurant chains are offering fun tech-infused takeaway packaging.
