Elite Daily's series 'Millennials of New York,' or 'MONY,' exaggerates the generation's obsession with posting Instagram food pictures in its video titled 'This Restaurant Makes Food For Your Instagram Account.'
The 'mockunmentary series' follows groups of Millennials who spend the majority of their time consumed by their self-entitled attitude, overly sensitive outlooks and reliance on technology. Other titles within the series include 'Meet the Book Lover Standing Up To The E-Book Industry' and 'This Mindful Consumer Only Buys Locally-Grown Bud.'
The fake restaurant episode follows 28-year-old Anita, the "restaurant" owner, who explains that getting a good Instagram food picture is worth more than actually eating your food. The video comments on the wastefulness and the absurd extravagance that goes into some Millennials' Instagram food pictures.
