Imec's Smart Bathroom Mirror Shows Users the Back of Their Head

— November 19, 2016 — Tech
Imec's smart bathroom mirror prevents users from having to make awkward contortions in order to see themselves from the right angle. The system consists of a large mirror, just like any other, but it includes a crisp, high definition inset that lets users see the back of their heads simultaneously.

This impressive feat is achieved through the use of a discreet camera that sticks onto the transverse wall. This camera streams a high definition feed to a tablet-sized inset on the right side of the mirror. When the camera is set at the correct height, it will give users a look at the back of their head for tasks like zipping up a dress or fastening a necklace.
