DIY Hearing Aids

The 'iHear' Hearing Aid Can Be Programmed and Calibrated By the User

iHear is an invisible hearing aid that allows users to test their hearing levels at home, and calibrate their hearing aid accordingly. The iHear system consists of a test kit, miniature hearing device, a USB device and an online platform.

Users must first check their level of hearing loss using the iHear test kit. Users plug the USB device into their computer, and insert a pair of specially-designed earphones into their ears. An online diagnostic tool then helps them assess the extent of their hearing loss.

Once the hearing test is completed, the hearing device is shipped to the user. The user can then complete the fitting process on their own, program preferred settings for different environments and adjust the hearing aid at any time.

The company will donate a hearing aid (up to 1,000) to the economically disadvantaged for every single iHear device ordered.
