A planned production version of the Hybrid Air Vehicles Airlander 10 airship prototype was announced by the UK-based brand to help offer a more efficient transportation system for operators. The aircraft will come in a hybrid electric model that will keep two Diesel engines in the rear, while replacing the front two with electric alternatives for a more efficient flyings experience. This will allow for a pure electric mode that will offer a 50 knots cruising speed with a maximum range of 217 miles.
The Hybrid Air Vehicles Airlander 10 airship hybrid version will be capable of transporting 90 passengers between Liverpool and Newcastle in around two hours with 90% less emissions in comparison to conventional airliners.
