The Herzberg Housing Development by feld72 and AllesWirdGut is a Vienna residential complex that merges compact apartment units with larger townhomes.
Seemingly collaged, the residential units are layered atop and beside one another in addition to being painted a gradient of citrus green hues. Inspired by a 'different way of living', architects from feld72 and AllesWirdGut
gained inspiration for the building from a variety of urban typologies.
The Herzberg Housing Development features 121 housing units. The units range from a rooftop bachelor apartment with a terrace to a family-sized unit with a large living room that can be transformed into smaller bedrooms. Encouraging different ways of living within one solitary structure, the architects merge small-scale apartments with larger family-targeted residences.
