Diageo has announced these new health warning labels in an effort to help consumers when it comes to making choices that suit their lifestyle when it comes to alcohol consumption. The labels will be launched across the Smirnoff, Gordon's Gin, Baileys and Captain Morgan bottles, and clearly explain various information points to consumers about the product. The labels also point drinkers to the DRINKiQ.com website in an effort to help them learn more about the product, alcohol effects and more.
Managing Director at Diageo UK Dayalan Nayager spoke on the new health warning labels saying, "As the UK’s leading spirits producer, we think it is essential that our consumers make informed choices about alcohol. We want to change the way the world drinks for the better, and today’s initiatives are just the first step forward in our long-term global ambition to reach one billion people with messages of moderation over the next ten years.”
