Hühnerhof der Motte is a Hamburg urban farm that recently debuted an ingenious way to sell their fresh eggs to new customers. Having existed for 30 years, Hühnerhof der Motte came up with the idea for a streetside vending machine when they realized they needed to make their product available to the community 24-hours a day, 7-days a week.
The Egg-o-Mat charges €2 for six organic free-range eggs and is made of wood. Thus far, the Egg-o-Mat has been highly effective for the idyllic Hamburg urban farm in terms of expanding business.
The innovative concept proves that automated retail has applications in unexpected areas based on the dual interest in convenience and high-quality food products.
