Facebook Lets Users Move Google Photos Content Across Platforms

Facebook has added new capabilities for users in the United States and Canada, who now have the ability to transition media files into Google Photos. Users can transition content to Google Photos through a new data portability tool, which was created as part of Facebook's Data Transfer project. The Data Transfer Project is a collaboration agreement where a number of tech giants will make it easier to share content across platforms. The organizations involved include Facebook, Google, Microsoft, and Twitter.

Users can move photos across the platforms by selecting ‘Your Facebook Information and then selecting the files they want to transfer. Overall, the new tool streamlines the user experience across the Google Photos and Facebook platforms.
