Google Confirms Release of 'Locked Folder' Feature to All Androids

Google's first-party photo storage application, 'Google Photos,' has previously only had comprehensive private photo storage capabilities for Google's flagship phone, the 'Pixel.' The 'Locked Folder' feature allows users to create a photo storage section on their phone that is locked behind a password, or even a fingerprint.
The locked folder is helpful for storing sensitive photos, whatever they may be, and ensuring that nobody but you ever has permission to access them. If you are one who enjoys backing up your photos to the cloud, there is an option to prevent this folder from backing up its contents, meaning the photos will be stored locally and will be deleted permanently should you choose.
In addition to this, Google's Pixel devices are able to store photos taken with the phone's camera directly to the locked folder. This means that right from the inception of the photo, the pictures are protected and only stored locally.
