Autonomous vehicles are set to fully revolutionize how our modern roadways look in the coming years, so new designs like the GM SURUS are being created to offer us a glimpse of the near future. The concept SURUS truck is short for Silent Utility Rover Universal Superstructure, and is powered by the Hydrotec fuel cell system. The vehicle is completely free of a driver cabin as it is fully autonomous, and is able to provide up to 400 miles of range per charge.
The GM SURUS autonomous truck could be implemented into the construction market to provide developers with a way to transport goods without the need for human operation. This puts the focus on other tasks that require more attention, working to further enhance construction capabilities.
