Now that Zoolander 2 is in cinemas, Vue Cinemas set up a creative GIF photobooth in order to get people to show off their best Blue Steel impressions.

The 'Vuelander2' photobooth makes it possible for people to create animated GIFs and share them with others on social media using tags like #BlueSteel and #Vuelander2. After a fun selfie is taken, movie-goers are entered to win a cinema gift card from Vue. These GIFs are shared online to the Vuelander2 gallery, featuring the faces of many others who have tried their hand at doing what Derek Zoolander does.

This is just one of many creative promotional stunts that has been part of getting people excited about Zoolander 2. Other off-the-wall marketing tactics have included beauty pop-ups, magazine features and even appearances on real-world runways.
