GetSafe's Home Security System Eliminates Control Panels

GetSafe might be the very first home security system to eliminate the control panel altogether and go completely wireless. Anyone who has ever had a home security system installed in their residence knows what a hassle it is to sprint to the control panel on the lower level of your house to turn the alarm off before it alerts the police.
GetSafe, the new 100% wireless home security system targeted at Millennials, allows homeowners and renters alike to control their monitoring software right from their smartphones.
"The world has changed, and just about everyone below age 30 has a smartphone," says Alan Wu, the marketing manager for GetSafe Home Security, "At a certain point, we recognized that the control panel had become a useless piece of hardware.”
In response to concerns about not serving those without smartphones, GetSafe responds that it is not worried. This home monitoring system has been built specifically for the smartphone age. GetSafe is a portable home monitoring system and is more focused on renters than actual homeowners. It can be uninstalled and reinstalled easily should the resident move houses, as long as they remember to update their address with every move. Typically 32% of renters move house annually, so this portable feature is likely one of the more important characteristics of GetSafe.
The GetSafe Home Security’s Starter Kit retails at $249. Add-ons are available for $34 to $47, depending on the type of sensor you wish to upgrade to.
