This funeral planning service is being described as an "Uber-style" app. Russian startup Umer is a smartphone app that allows bereaved people to plan funerals from their phones. Umer -- which can be translated to 'he's dead' in Russian -- is scheduled to launch in a few months.
The funeral planning app makes it simpler for grieving users to organize memorial services. You just have to type in the deceased person's name, death date, address and religion. They will be provided with a variety of pricing options as well as local cemeteries and funeral director choices. Other options include burial or cremation and headstone selections. Once everything is done, users are put in touch with an operator who finalizes funeral arrangements and provides necessary paperwork.
