AI-Powered Upscaling Tools

Microsoft Added DLSS 3.0 Support to Forza Horizon 5

Microsoft added support for NVIDIA DLSS 3.0, an AI-powered, GPU-based upscaling technology built for NVIDIA's latest 40-series of GPUs. The third iteration of NVIDIA's upscaling technology boasts support for larger resolutions at higher framerates than its predecessors, with NVIDIA claiming that 40-series GPU owners can play Forza Horizon 5 at 4K resolution with solid framerates over 120fps.

DLSS 3.0 has been praised for its impressive performance enhancements, in some cases by 300% of the original framerate, without losing noticeable amounts of visual quality, based on the upscaling settings selected. The technology is currently limited to NVIDIA's latest GPUs, though owners of the 20-series and 30-series cards can still benefit from DLSS 2.0 upscaling, which is slightly less efficient, but still delivers excellent performance when required.
