Ultra-Smooth Frame Insertion Features

With AMD FidelityFX Super Resolution 3 (FSR 3), AMD offers a new version of its open-source upscaling technology that boosts both the speed and the visual quality of compatible games. FSR 3 has two main features: frame generation and native anti-aliasing mode . Frame generation uses an improved version of AMD Fluid Motion Frames (AFMF) optical flow technology and temporal game data to create extra high-quality frames for a smoother gameplay, up to 2x. Native anti-aliasing mode applies advanced anti-aliasing and sharpening without any upscaling for a better image quality than native resolution.

FSR 3 works with a broad range of GPUs, including AMD Radeon RX 7000 Series and RX 6000 Series. It also has a built-in latency reduction technology for fast and responsive gaming experiences when using frame generation. FSR 3 is available starting today in two games: Forspoken by Square Enix and Immortals of Aveum by Ascendant Studios and Electronic Arts. More games are expected to add support for FSR 3 in the future, as AMD continues to collaborate with developers and publishers to bring this state-of-the-art technology to more and more gamers.
