In an obscene project entitled 'Better with Flowers,' graphic designer Antonio Rodriguez Jr. uses a flower typeface to spell out offensive words. The juxtaposition of the pretty florals and the derogatory language turns the phrase 'say it better with flowers' on its head.
With words like 'bitch,' 'slut,' and 'prick' included, this flower typeface series could upset some. The flowery phrases are arranged on a light pink backdrop, adding to the feminine aesthetic. The contrast of ladylike elements and entirely un-ladylike language make the custom work interesting.
The Brazilian born artist used the flower typeface to create unique greeting cards intended to be sent as a joke instead of as an actual insulting vehicle. Whether your friends have a little bit of a twisted sense of humor, or you just appreciate some good swearing, these greeting cards are not to be missed.
