Transparent Floating Structures

The Grand Pinklao Project by Office AT Sits High Above Ground

Situated on pillars above the ground, the floating structures of the Grand Pinklao Project exude an air of luxury. Located just outside of Bangkok, Thailand, the design boats a swimming pool, office space and best of all, it looks like a giant box suspended in midair.

Because most of the walls are made from glass, a large area hanging over the building was designed to keep out excessive sun, and help save energy. While it does look like privacy would be an issue when staying here, the more private areas were designed to face in a direction away from prying eyes. When it comes to floating structures, the Grand Pinklao Project is one of the most impressive I've seen to date.
