Bamboo Luxe Pool Houses

Baldó Arquitectura Designs the Godai Pavilion with a Hanging Roof

Spanish design studio Baldó Arquitectura created the Godai Pavilion, which is a captivating pool house on the Northern side of the country. It is made with inspiration drawn from the Japanese design philosophy of godai, which relies on five main elements: fire, wind, earth, water, and space.

The pavilion is defined by the use of bamboo and a roof hanging on top. It is made for a home in rural Cantabria and is made to align with the local weather. Per this, the studio uses natural materials to build the structure. It is on the southern side and the studio notes, “The pavilion [creates] a dialogue between different architectures, with the pool as a central element and a link between the existing home and the new pavilion."
