The conceptual 'Green Ocean' floating marine farm has been designed by Japan-based N-Ark as a sustainable farming solution that would work diligently to support plant life by harnessing sea-based nutrient. The farming system would absorb nutrients and water from the sea in order to support specific plants that are suited for being grown as such. The floating greenhouse would feature a solar-powered design that would actually work to support aquatic life thanks to its symbiotic functionality.
The conceptual 'Green Ocean' floating marine farm has been developed in partnership with Cultivera to hopefully get the system up and running by 2022. This could work to drastically change approaches to farming and help to expand the ways in which we cultivate our food.
