Figure 1 is a medical social network that connects doctors, surgeons and nurses together online to help diagnose patients. Although trained extensively, medical professionals often need a fresh pair of eyes to help them diagnose and treat unusual cases. This medical social network was developed so doctors can anonymously upload case photos and information, in order to receive potentially life-saving feedback from other medical health care professionals. The software allows doctors to see other cases in real time, and helps questioning doctors gain a different perspective they may not have received had they only consulted internally.
