Wilkinson King Architects Designs the Field House

— April 5, 2025 — Art & Design
London design firm Wilkinson King Architects created the Field House located in West Sussex. The Field House is framed by a structural limestone loggia with cross-laminated timber. It is home to a family of four, who were looking for something more suitable for the family.

Principal at Wilkinson King Architects, Chantal Wilkinson tells Dezeen, "The desire for open views to the fields and distant hills has driven the design of the stone loggia as intermediate space at the threshold between inside and out. The structural stone technology, with post-tensioned solid columns and stone beams forming the soffit, designed in collaboration with the engineers and the stone masons, has allowed for the honest and expressive use of natural stone."
