Fabio Milito and Paula Studio's Elkebana Trophies are Organically Bold

Elkebana is the name of designer Fabio Milito and Paula Studio's floral faux taxidermy series. The collaborative wall trophies are inspired by hunting souvenirs that are often associated with mountain lodge and woodland cabin decor.

Instead of creating faux taxidermy that is fully shaped to resemble real animals, Fabio Milito and Paula Studio worked to create a set of organic wall accents that defy convention.

Their masterpieces are made using traditional wood mounts and fresh flowers that are symmetrically placed to resemble horns and antlers. Blending together American taxidermy decor with traditional Japanese flower arrangements, Elkebana takes its name from the ancient art of Ikebana.

In addition to its fresh flower elements, this series is also accented with striking branches and other foliage.
