'Fan-O-Rama' is a Live-Action Remake of the Beloved Futurama Series

For fans of 'Futurama' upset with the cancellation of the series in 2013, some fellow fans and filmmakers have taken up the call. 'Fan-O-Rama' is a fan film from production company Cinema Relics Productions that is turning the beloved science fiction comedy cartoon into a live-action fan film.

Part of the challenge of creating a live-action remake of a cartoon series is that cartoons aren't limited by physics or logic in any way. Futurama viewers know that characters like Leela would be hard to reproduce in real life, since the cartoon character has one giant eye. In defence of the creators, the live-action characters in their trailer do a good, albeit slightly creepy, uncanny valley-entering job of replicating the feel of the two-dimensional series.

Fans will go to great lengths to pay homage to their favorite cultural pastimes, as Fan-O-Rama shows.
