Outrageous Milkshake Toppers

These Extreme Milkshake Photos Confront the Use of Social Media

Australian photographer Alana Dimou created this extreme milkshake photography series that features outrageous garnishes like cheeseburgers and stacked donuts. After seeing the online reaction from the infamous 'Tella Ball Shake,' Alana Dimou wanted to conduct her own version.

This extreme milkshake image collection is compiled of over-indulgent dairy desserts that are topped with some of the wildest garnishes. The images from this series include a "donut, waffle, Oreo and pancake topped milkshake, [a] s'mores chicken milkshake [and a] seven-patty western bacon cheeseburger milkshake."

While the images present a beautiful display of colors, food and condiments, the ultimate idea is that the Internet is becoming obsessed with images of food that might not even be consumed. Younger generations enjoy social media and creating shocking posts, however it is more about the experience than the food itself.
