Everence ink is enabling consumers to get tattoos that are infused with the unique ingredient of human DNA.

This latest innovation in tattoo design means that individuals can pay homage to a loved one by permanently marking their body with a sample of someone's DNA, making for a more meaningful aesthetic alteration. For the price of $540, individuals can receive a custom bottle of tattoo ink that features DNA collected from the inside of someone's mouth, cremated ashes or more. In addition, this service extends to pets, enabling an individual to immortalize a family cat or dog into their skin.

Although this process has received some backlash, the company insists its just as safe as traditional tattoo ink.
